 The Crickets- early 50s R&B group led by Dean Barlow.
The Crickets- Buddy Holly's group.

The Eagles- 50s group that recorded "Trying to Get to You".
The Eagles- California 70s group.

The GoGos- 60s Surf group recorded "Chicken of the Sea".
The Gogos- 80s girl group.

Nirvana- Late 60s British Psych group.
Nirvana- 90s grunge band.

Temptations- Surf group, recorded "Egyptian Surf".
Temptations- Motown group.

Vogues- 50s group, recorded " Which Witch doctor".
The Vogues- 60s group recorded "5 o'clock World".

Can anyone think of others?
