 I had already read this and I'm not sure it's 100% true.

It is unknown exactly WHICH master tapes were held by Universal
i.e. which were still / are still kept in Clovis

Norman did send master tapes to Universal, to Steve Hoffman, in the 80s and didn't get them all back.
What he received back were duplicates

So this whole thing is still a bit of a mystery
