Tears streaked her cheeks as she mourned. She had just brought new life into the world...and seemingly at Khastin’s place. Every newborn was a replacement of one lost. So this pup had been Khastin’s replacement. Thought pained her heart, matching the pain she felt everywhere else. With another contraction and a push, another pup was born into this hellish hole. Bending slightly to get at the newer and much smaller pup, she brought it closer to her muzzle with a pull. It was still encased in it’s bag, which she removed with care and disposed of properly. With a few warming licks, she moved it to the other- unaware of it’s gender yet. That could wait for the time being, but right then she had a revenge to seek. ‘Spell, you mutt. I thought you were my friend. I thought you were Khastin’s lover. Can you see what you’ve done? You’ve KILLED him, Spell! You killed the wolf you loved! But you didn’t love him, did you Spell?
