He replied with regulated subterfuge. He heald more respect for her from than at first glance--he appreciated those who used the shadows to their advantage. Too many brought themselves forth with false pretenses, snarles and flying hackles, froth and forth-intended fear. But they were nothing to Machete, nothing until they could prove themselves. But those, those rare few like Shardul, that can enter a TT with a clean slate and hope to earn the respect they deserve--those are the only ones worthy of trust and dignity lack of a figmented past. He didnt feel any more than his title were needed--if she wanted to know something, he had a feeling she'd ask.
