By the time Taylor had reached her apartment, she had fallen into a comfortable rythem, moving easily, despite the weight of the child she held on her back. Shifting the girl's weight slightly, she unlocked the door, and slipped into the apartment, closing the door softly behind her. Toward the back of the apartment was a dark guest bedroom, kept cool by the air conditioning. Taylor headed toward the room, and carefully deposited her charge on the soft bed.
