Dear Lynn,
You have a right to feel upset!!! I'm sorry that this has happened to you. It seems clear the way your employer is going to handle the situation. If she abuses your time again, continues to be unfair, or is unwilling to work with you on a solution, perhaps next time you will need to start looking for another job. In my heart I know I can get along with any child. There lies the problem with every nanny....we can bond with any chld, but when we enter an interview we should be more concerned about the relationship you will have with the parents. If you do choose to find another position, kindly ask the new family some probing questions to help you determine if you will work well with the parents; and that you feel they will be respectiful, appreciative, and not take advantage of you and your time outside of work....it's inevitable that you will be happy if everything is pleasant with the parents. Is the person that you nanny for a single mother?

Good luck!
Jinnifer
