Subject: Vacation pay

Just last week my employers were supposed to go on a beach trip for a week. I had made my own vacation plans. The grandmother unexpectantly passed away and unfortunately did not take their vacation to the beach but took the week off. Never expected me to stay around. However, they want to take their beach vacation in a few weeks. At first my employer said I may have another week off, but then said "unless you want to work?" She then said "how would you get paid? and would that interest you?" Now, as much as I would love the extra money, they will have lots of family with them(they rent a house on the beach) She said my hours would be the same. Okay, so can I turn them down? I do feel a little guilty by saying "no". But, then how would I get paid?
Here would be the schedule:
Sunday to Sunday would be the vacation
My normal hours are 7:30am-6:30pm M-Th
she said I could work the whole week or M-Th, if I work part of the week, I would have to drive 41/2hours each way. I get paid $14 an hour, I take care of 21/2 year old twins and a one year old.
What does one do after 6:30pm..no tv, no friends or husband, no gym to workout.
Any advice?
Thanks in advance
Kay
