A nanny will do a variety of things with your child, from preparing nutritious meals, reading to him, finger painting, work on learning colors, numbers, letters, manners, socialization, developing fine and gross motor skills (stacking, puzzles, jumping, climbing, etc..)taking him to the park and on play dates, trips to the zoo, etc.,all of which will help him learn, develop his cognitive functions, and grow into a healthy young man. She will also love and hug him, care for him when he is sick, provide a stable and loving environment so that even when you are away from him, he feels secure, important, and loved. She will also help out with his laundry, keeping his toys/room clean, etc.., and possibly help with family errands, meal planning, etc.. A nanny will not "take" your child's love away from you, but rather provide another person that he can count on and love, expanding his capacity and understanding that the world has a lot to offer him! If it is feasible for your family, a nanny is the next best thing to you. I hope this helps!
