I,m a nanny in Georgia, which the pay isn't quite as much as California where I'm originally from and used to work as a nanny there back in the 80's.When you work p/t,under 30hrs aweek, you should expect to make somewhere between $10-$15per hr dependending on your experience and the work load that is expected of you and the # of children your caring for. Also your level of education and training you have behind you, such as child development classes and or basic nursing courses and CPR/first aid certificates. It is my feeling that for a new nanny with little or no experience,no previous experience as a nanny but perhaps some daycare only, and having CPR,working p/t,should be earning a minimum of $8-$9per hr.Dependable, reliable, honest, childcare providers are hard to find and worth alot for parents choosing to work or do other activites instead of staying home to raise their own children. There are plenty of nanny jobs throughout the states if you are able to go to them. The more education you have concerning children under your belt, the more you can expect in earn.
