Well, you sound like you have quite a bit to do, but your question is a loaded one. A nannies salary is not based simply on the job responsibilities. It is also based on experience, education, references, and geographic area of the country. It is not relevant to what the previous nanny was making, because she may have brought a whole different set of qualifications to the job.
Having said that, and making some assumptions, i.e, you are a college student, so you are probably in your early 20's, then I would assume that you have less experience (5 years or less), and therefore, I would think that you are being fairly paid for what you are doing. I did a similar job in Seattle 5 years ago, and I made $17.50 an hour to start, and $19 when I left, and I brought 12 years of nanny and household management skills, a college education, and great references to the job when I started.
I would ask also what your contract says. It should outline the specifics of your job responsibilities. This helps to prevent the issue of the ever expanding job list. I would sit down with your points of contention well thought out, and talk with your employer. Always express what you love about the job first, then bring up your concerns. And do not bring them up without offering some possible solutions. This helps resolve things much faster. Good luck!
