I am currently off this week b/c my family went to the beach... they offered for me to go with them and work... but I felt a break for me (and a break for the children from me) would be good... we haven't talked at all about pay for this week, I just assumed and unspokenly agreed to a week w/o pay. How would I even approach the subject of asking for compensation? I really love my charges and the parents are warm and supportive of me. I don't want to add any tension to our working relationship but am I entitled to pay for this week?
