I just had oral surgery last week and had 4 premolars and 2 lower wisdom teeth taken out. I'm not really sure if I had local or general anesthesia, i just had a whole bunch of shots before my teeth were taken out. As long as you're not getting wisdom teeth extracted, everything should be fine. Just be sure to rinse your mouth after every meal and make sure there's no food lodge in the gaps.
