When I checked my mail yesterday morning I was surprised to find a check from the school for a rather large sum of money. The decision was made that second that I must celebrate with beer. Lots of beer. Oh my brothers, it was an extra long day of classes as I waited anxiously to buy massive amounts of alcohol and celebrate my newly found financial independence.

After my night class I picked up two 30 packs of Keystone Ice and arrived at Jake’s at 10:00. After playing game after game of bullshit and crazy eights we decided to play quarters.

Now as you all know I’m not a big drinker, but I can hold my own. Last night was a career low performance. When it came to be my turn to chug the glass of backwash with some beer in it I gulped it down........ and then vomited on myself.

Actually it wasn’t vomit. I happened to burp right as I swallowed the last of the beer and it came back out. After a lot of laughter and a change of shirts I continued playing.

After 1:00 events are pretty hard to recall in their entirety, but I will try nonetheless. I remember Jake’s roommate Phil jumping out of his window onto the couch on the back deck. Paul did it as well, but somehow managed to pass out right as he landed on the couch.

I left the party at two with Paul, Steph and Maggie. We had resolved to walk back to the dorms, but a very drunk and very stupid Paul Peck insisted on driving. After much debate I threw the keys at him and told him “it’s your dui, not mine” and walked on.

Now the events become a foggy list of random occurrences. I passed out in front of the physics building after peeing on it. Eventually Steph managed to get me to walk to the quad, where on the way I apparently decided to climb into a trash can, but after getting halfway in decided against it and fell out and started rolling around in the street laughing. I have absolutely no recollection of this.

Later we ended up on a rooftop, where I fell asleep on a rather steep incline three stories up. I managed to make it back to my dorm and pass out around 4:30.

All in all it wasn’t a night to be proud of, but what the hell. We’re young and stupid, just some of us a little more retarded than others.
