Jesus, that guy probably cries if the Pizza Hut delivery guy shows up in under thirty minutes.

And yes, twas a hell of weekend for Missouri. Saturday we beat the Cornhuskers and everyone went completely insane. My roomate Joe ran down the sidewalk spilling cans of corn everywhere while screaming "IT'S CORN STOMPIN TIME!" Paul and Arthur brought out their instruments and played the Missouri fight song while I drunkenly directed traffic in front of our house. I even gave an old couple driving a caddy a beer. Then I stole one of those tiger tails off of the trunk of a car. It was good times to the extreme.

And then Sunday. "Ohh ye of little faith!" should have been the war cry for the Chiefs. Twice I stopped watching the game, when we were down 14 and when we were down 17 to the dreaded Goliath quarterback Brett Farve. And then came the rejoicing, and like the prodigal son I returned to celebrate our victory as Trent "Moses" Green parted the great sea of secondary and Eddie Kennison screamed "LET MY CHIEFS GO UNDEFEATED!"

And so in the good year of our lord, two thousand plus three, the lord said "the chiefs will win the superbowl, although they will lose against the evil raiders. Even in the holy house of football evil will rise to fight the blessed. Fear not, for my ways are mysterious. But know that this too shall pass, and Trent Green will pass for incredible yardage this season."

And the people rejoiced, for all was good in the land.

Amen.
