Pumarbangonen but I need to get this out to all of you so you can join us in spirit
during the First General Assembly of our Dugong CYF Foundation. I leave for Umingan tomorrow afternoon so I can be at the Assembly site early Friday morning (Philippine time zone, of course!)
Yes, Aneya, Always Say A Prayer…… we all need to keep that LINE open. I do not know how I could have gotten through to this day if not for that "little" prayer each time….
But first things first. I did go all the way to Bongato to listen to Lorraine’s key note address during the opening ceremonies of the Church Related Organizations’ Conference. She talked about "Coming together...to lift each other up…." An apt message also for our own Dugong CYF Foundation General Assembly. I cheered in my seat. Way to go Lorraine! First time I ever heard you ‘speak’ and was I glad I went. I hope the trip home was a memorable one for you; too bad there was no chance to see you again before your left. See you again next year.
I also gave CLCYF President Henry (Lapuz) the $100 (its peso equivalent was Pp 5, 568), as you instructed, before leaving that same night with the Umingan delegation. I asked Lorna (of Delio F) to witness the ‘delivery’ para transparent, di ba? I was back in Manila the next day.
I hope new Conference Minister Jovito can make it to the General Assembly. We may be able to plan more definite things with him that we were not able to do when Ludwig was Chairman since we are now more organized (?).
Nagkita kami met kenni Aie, Jr. idi namindua—when she arrived and on the eve of her departure. We went down memory lane, of course. Except for the different ‘look’, she sure sounded pretty much the same Aie, Jr., of old.
Steve, sorry I reneged on that promise to write while in Umingan. Namagaan metten iti utek ko idi gapu iti bannog. The meeting ended about 4 and I still had to attend to preparations for mama’s memorial the next day.
Now to the General Assembly. I meant to remind everyone to send accomplished Foundation Membership Sheet but I never got around to doing it. Now that D-Day is just a day away, could you just please post some form of ‘official’ registration in the Boardroom with the following basic information:
Name
UCCP Local Church membership
Present address
Inclusive dates of active participation in the Central Luzon CYF
Should I get this by tomorrow evening (in Umingan), we’ll call out your name during the roll call and consider you as having affirmed your membership. Otherwise, join us in the Prayer of Commitment and send your profile later. You should find the complete Information Sheet in my Part 3 Report, dated October 3, 2003. You may send it through my e-mail address (aie2000_ph@yahoo.com), if you’d rather not post it in the Boardroom.
I wish I could fill you in with more details, but this is all that my remaining energy can get me this time. Did I miss anything?
