Give us long-suffering spirits to be able to sustain our common efforts. Use our gifts of wisdom, creativity, determination and compassion toward the building of your Church , specially through the youth, and a better world. Be with us as we journey on. Act of Commitment
All (standing): We commit ourselves to be a light to the world—a world that is not at peace. Let us pause to remember that as we have been called on a journey together, our purpose as a Foundation is not one of self perpetuation and personal gain, but one of mission and ministry. The work ahead of us is enormous. We may be tempted to consider ourselves successful if we can unify within the Body of Christ, with gratitude in our hearts singing to God. But we must not stop there. The lights within us must be like a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Even in the gloomiest of nights, our lights must shine---as if to say to the darkness, "God is not yet finished!"
(Lighting of Candles . New President lights candle from Christ candle )
Foundation President: Let us pass the light on to our neighbor as we form a circle. We do this to remind ourselves that light is not something we lose when we share it with someone else. Likewise, we remind ourselves that the fire within us can find rest in companionship within the Body of Christ, but finds its truest purpose, in shining through the darkness.
Song "This Little Light of Mine" (# 7)
Prayer and Benediction
Seven-Fold Amen
Agape Meal
