Elsie pretty much summarized the entire camping. Bassit laengen ti mainayon ko, some of which are not official but just my personal observations.

The young campers outnumbered the old timers, 18-16. The youngest camper was—and always was for the past 3 campings—Samirah Go, the younger daughter of Bong & Lea. The oldest is a toss between the magbarkada Nanas Rosita Ferrer and Cristina Inocencio.
One thing I noticed was the instant bonding of the younger campers among themselves. They appeared as though they see each other often, which is not the case. As it has been during the past, they all shared the same cottage. A product of this bonding is the group The Watermelon Boys, Saturday night talent show’s unanimous overall winners, composed of TL, Kevin, Aldwin, Gabriel and Carlo on the guitar. If you heard them, you would think that they’ve been singing together for quite some time, but no, once a year at the most. They just got together at dinner time, agreed upon a song they wanted to sing (Howie Day’s “Collide”) and went for it. The blending of their voices was superb, ala C,S,N&Y (young 'uns, ask your parents what is this). We all loved their performance that we asked them for an encore. They now have a video floating on cyberspace at MySpace, which was recorded by their future tour manager, publicist and agent Wendy.
Credit Lea with the salad of ug-uggots (saluyot, kamote, kabateti) during Saturday’s lunch, so good that it was gone instantly. Also a hit was Dante’s mango salad on Sunday morning, tinabunan iyong aking 4-bean salad. But the most of kudos goes to Dante for being the head chef. Mabuhay ka, Dante.
A part of the camping that made our hearts beating so fast was the Amazing Race, which to me is an upscale version of the scavenger hunt, led by Joy, Eugene, Melissa and hubby Jeff. They did a great job organizing and preparing for this game. We all had to run around the camp looking for clues, uphill and downhill. Not only was it a physical exercise but a brain exercise as well. It was so exhausting that we had a water break in the middle of the game. Malas ni Ally, puro lallakay ti team mates na—siak, Willie and Ted.
I don’t know why, but for some reasons, although all of the summer camps had been enjoyable, Nick & I feel that this past one has been the most enjoyable of them all. It can’t be the attendance because in the first camp there were 35 of us, one more than this year’s. What was it then? I don’t know, basta nag-ganas ken nagmayat, so much fun.
Once I’m finished uploading them all on my Kodak Galley, the pictures will speak for the fun we had. If you want to see them, send me your email address.
These are all that I can add at this moment. Pardon me if I missed any. Until next year’s camping, we'll bind our heart once again, with the hope that our attendance will reach 50 then.
