YOU'RE NOT ME

When someone walks past you in the street
do you know what day they've had
did they fight with the one they love
is that why their face looks so sad.

people seem to think because we smile
that everything is going ok
when we have tears in our eyes
we have not had a good day

Sometimes we feel the complete opposite
of what we let people see
we like to mask our true feelings
cause that's how we were taught to be

There is no one in this world
that knows exactly how u feel
they may think they know
but they never ever will

Because they are not u
and therefore can't feel what u do
everyone has a different situation
and every experience is new

so if someone comes up to u
and you can see that they've been crying
just listen, don't give advice
if u say u know how they feel, your lying

because i am not you
and you are not me
therefore dont say u know how i feel
because i am someone u'll never be.
