Subject: SCARED - 1998

SCARED

There�s so many things i want to say
and you�re the only one who needs to know
I wish I didn�t have to write it down
but it�s hard to let my feelings show.

I don�t mean to stand at arm�s length
and i�m sorry that I can�t tell you I care
but this all so new to me
and I don�t know how to act when you�re there

I�m sorry if I offend you in anyway
but Ive never been in this spot before
and fore some reason I feel so scared
it�s like I have opened a once locked door.

So I ask you to be patient
as i�m not really sure what to do
and although you may not really know
the fact is I truely do love you.

So please don�t ever dout that
especially when you sense me back away
it�s not that you don�t mean a lot to me
It�s just i don�t know what to do or say

I�ll be the first to admit i�m scared
although i am unsure as to why
if we could go one step at a time
then maybe I wouldn�t feel so shy

But I don�t want to lose you
as you are the only guy I know
who loves me for the person I am
and let�s his feelings show

And as we slowly grow together
hopefully I will stop feeling so scared
and make that first step that opens the doors
and enters the places I have never dared.

Although I can�t tell you how I feel
never dout me when I say I care
and as time goes on everyday
I�ll tell you now, I am glad you�re there!
