THE GIRL INSIDE OF ME!!

There was something in her eyes,
I had never seen before,
Like they were saying goodbye,
To the world they never saw,
She always seemed so distant,
She never asked for more,
From life she wanted nothing,
Except one unlocked door.

I heard within her soul,
The sound of someone crying,
Her heart was screaming out allowed,
'Please help me, for I am dying',
You saw the pain in her eyes,
And you knew that she was trying,
But when she turned away,
You knew that she was lying.

She used to be so happy,
I never saw her change,
She never showed her feelings,
I never thought it strange,
So many times I saw her,
She seemed so out of range,
And when you looked into her eyes,
You could see that there was pain.

She used to be so strong inside,
But now she seems so very weak,
She's been ignored for far too long,
And now she wants to speak,
To have her say and let you know,
Precisely what she thinks?
To remind you all that,
Beauty is only skin deep.

She wants you to know,
That she has feelings too,
That she hurts a lot inside,
Just the same as you,
She needs you to be a friend
To understand what she's going through,
But you'll go on ignoring her,
Just like you always do.

Does anyone care?
How she feels inside,
Does anybody know?
The pain she hides,
Did anyone notice?
How hard she tried,
And what about the hurt,
And the tears she cried.

Didn't we see any of it?
The darkening of the lights,
Not even the pain in her eyes,
That were once so very bright,
So how would you feel?
If she died tonight,
What would you do?
If she gave up the fight.

No one understands,
Why it turned out this way,
We could have saved her,
If we'd heard her say,
She needed help,
To get through each day,
But her voice was not heard,
We made it this way.

And now that she has ended,
All that pain inside,
All the hurt she had,
There�s no need to hide,
For now she has gone,
Well at least she tried,
But the pain got worse,
With each tear she cried.

The hurt was too much
And the pain went too deep
Oneday she laid down
She took pills to sleep
She never woke up
Cause she took a great heap
And now she has gone
We sit and we weep.

But because of the hurt
Another life has gone
When we look back
We see we were wrong
All she wanted was a place
Where she could belong
With friends she loved
And kept her strong.

It was all our fault
We know it is true
And though we won't face it
It�s was us, that's who
We caused her to give up
Because she needed you
She needed us all
To help her get through
And though we won't face it
We needed her too!
