Have you ever believed a word I've said, have you known it to be true
that every time I think of love, it means I think of you?
I'm sorting out my problems, but your silence is hard to bear
somehow these feelings aren't ever enough, there's still more I need to share.

I never thought I'd regret it, when I made the mistakes with you
I thought I'd figured out right from wrong, but my words were always true.
They gave me the strength to sort things out, but always made me cry
I couldn't work out the answers, or the reasons why.

Now there's nothing I can change, we both live worlds apart
this distance we hold between us, is imprisoned in my heart.
It seems like you avoid me, this love I hold inside,
I never wanted to withhold from you, all I've had to hide.
