this appeared in yesterday's plain dealer:

*rumor has it clear channel communications, which owns wtam and wmms fm/100.7, was looking into hiring longtime local sports talkers chuck booms and chuck galeti as a wmms morning team - a big reason why the two recently did some evening shows together on wtam. but word is some inside wmms strongly oppose hiring booms and galeti, and may win out.*

given the nature of last week's "auditions", i'm not surprised people would be hesistant to sign booms and galeti. the shows were great, but likely not suitable (in terms of content and subsequent ratings) for the morning drive slot. nevertheless, it's good to see booms getting consideration from various parties.
