this is quick as I'm a little occupied with getting married tomorrow.

I think one of the things that Mondio still suffers from is a lack of publicity. Few people have seen a trial let alone a demo and the public knowledge of the sport is rudimentary at best.

I would endeavour to get the word out as much as possible on the other boards about upcoming events. When we hosted our last seminar in Canada we had 26 participants due to the amount of general publicity we were able to muster. Dog people (as a rule) will attend events even if they are only partially related to their specific sports, as long as they have ample warning.

I would also make the latest world championship tapes available on the website to new members and interested parties for a nominal cost. Again, dog people love video.

Agreed, we need more judges. We lost Bob Billyard due to silly CRA politics and believe me that was a serious setback to the community.

The community as a whole must put aside ego-driven agendas to facilitate the sanctioning of more judges and decoys or Mondio is at serious danger of being another case of... "what ever happened to?"
