 I rush to my quarters. I busy myself with making my room more homey. "A little pillow here, a knick knack there." After an hour I study my room. "Very nice."

I'm recieving a call from Earth. It's Mom. "Hi there, how's your first day going?"

I smile. She can always make me feel better. "Hi Mom. It's going all right. I got assigned to the Helm."

"Good for you!"

"But, I'm afraid I've embarrassed myself in front of Captain Stalker."

"How's that dear?" I proceed to tell her about the party fiasco. She smiles knowingly. "I wouldn't worry about that much, remember, I embarrassed myself in front of your father..."

"MOM! I'm not going to marry my captain!" I laugh. She always does that.

"Well, we're off to dinner, you have a good night and keep me updated."

"You too Mom, and I will." I close my pad and sit back on the couch. "I wonder what my first assignment will be, and where is everyone else? I haven't had the chance to meet anyone else yet." I frown. Almost seems like the Captain and I are the only ones on the ship.

PS- I know my posts are long, but I have nothing better to do :) I should be doing my homework, my professors don't like it when I don't have it, but nah, this is more fun! Come on people! Join the game!
