Subject: 85 chevy - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have an 85 chevy s10, 2wd, auto, 2.5 TBI 4cly. i bought it off a friend, and he said it only needed a new starter, i put the starter in, and now it wont start!!! i bought new spark plugs, new fuel pump, new tbi, new computer. but i can get it to run!!!! if i dump some fuel down the throttle body, it starts up, but them dies out!!! ive been pulling my hair out for some time now, but cant figure this out! could some please give me an idea of what to try, cause im lost!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
