Die Fakten zu Butan:

Erstickende Wirkung:
Der Sauerstoffgehalt der Atemluft wird so herabgesetzt, daß Erstickungserscheinungen auftreten, die bis zum Tode führen können.

Reiz- u. Ätzwirkung:
Wirkung auf die Schleimhäute der Atemwege, Reizung von Augen und Haut. Hustenreiz bis zum Erbrechen,
Bei Eindringen in die Lunge werden sie auch hier eine Reizwirkung hervorrufen.

Hinweis:
Die Aufnahme der Atemgifte kann zu einem toxischen Lungenödem führen, das erst mehrere Stunden oder Tage nach der Aufnahme Vergiftungserscheinungen (Intoxikation) auftreten.
