Oh, DI or MP is NOT schizophrenia, despite the jokes about the schizophrenic saying "This town isn't big enough for both of me" I used to find that funny. Now I am not so sure.

Schizophrenia is "voices in the head". DI is a body with many people living inside. Jean d'Arc may well have been schizophrenic. In the past Di people have often been said to have been "possessed by devils". This is so far form the truth to be laughable today, but it would have been scary to less educated people.
