yes thank you Antimusick for plugging the venues that refuse to work with us here at fresnogoth.com and club Futureshockk. you of all people should know that they are uncooperative with us.

just to clarify to everyone reading this (and I'll be posting an article on the main site pretty soon regarding this) the reason we don't have live shows going is that the good ole Starline refuses to work with us. i still have all the Emails in my inbox from the Starline. after each large or talked about fresnogoth party they Email me asking if we are interested in working with them on having an event. then when i send them a proposal they do not return my Emails or calls. ive wasted more energy on the Starline than any of you can fucking imagine!

my next step, when i have enough energy and enthusiasm is to go over the booking person's head and talk to the owner. maybe the owner has no idea his booking guy is a flake and a moron.

club Fred, how many times do i have to call club Fred? they must not check their answering machine or really don't give a fuck about bringing goth-industrial bands to their venue. im the best person in Fresno to be promoting live goth-industrial shows right now. we have the website, news letter, information line and all the support from our fans.

any venue that refuses to work with us in my opinion should be boycotted. they are foolish and poor business people.

this is why we do not have live shows in Fresno from touring bands.

do touring bands Email me??? yes every month i get Emails from all over the country and some from over seas asking if we would like to book their band. same story, we don't have the cooperation from the 2 best venues in Fresno suited to do this sort of thing. plain and simple.

and is the Starline interested in booking goth-industrial shows out side of bringing me in as a promoter? NO. they wouldnt even return the calls or Emails from a touring band out of Denver called Emergence. how do i know, because they tried booking themselves there but got no response either. this after i tried and tried and tried whole heartedly to get them booked.

to all the bands: ask yourself if you trust venues like the Starline and club Fred to properly promote to the goth industrial scene here in Fresno. i for one will not be promoting goth-industrial shows for a venue unless im paid as a promoter. no news letter. no website plugs. nothing! if any band is lucky enough to get booked at one of these places go ahead and show up and look around and see how many people are there. unless its some national act ill bet that the attendance sucks. then ask yourself if you would want the guy from fresnogoth and futureshockk to be promoting your show like fucking hell. ask yourself if you want the guy who got 400 people at the fetish party to also promote your show. ill bet you would rather have me directly marketing your show to the scene rather than the feeble efforts of a venue.

im at my whit's end and can do nothing more than what im already doing, which is throw dance club nights at the venues we are currently at. which by the way are very inappropriate to have a band at. beyond that, the live show thing will still have to wait for the venues to get real or for another location to turn up.

perhaps the old tokyo tei place would be good to get live things going there, but my body aches and im tired from all the wasted effort.
