you guys are sweet. actually im not sad about it. two reasons. #1) because we will still have Goffee which is all ages for whoever wants to attend, plus other activities like the barbie-q. we may also be working on doing shows at the old tokyo tei location as well. #2) im not sad because we never intended Futureshockk to be 18+. it was meant to be a 21+ club. i didnt lose any money or anything. the new owner of the venue is actually the one who approached me and asked if we wouldnt mind opening up the second side. he thought 18+ people would flock to the club like the 21+ people do. his other 18+ nights by the way are just as packed as the 21+ side, funny huh? he heard that we were doing tokyo tei as 18+ and thought it would work at his place. but the 18+ people really didnt even come out to tokyo tei. there were usually only under 20 of them, the rest was the regular Futureshockk crowd.

so please please pleeezzz dont feel sorry for me or the club or anyone. im not sad. what made me less than happy was seeing the 18+ side so empty compared to the packed 21+ side. my attitude about the whole thing is "you get what you pay for" or "you reap what you sew". no one showed up to support the 18+ side of the venue, so they get nothing in return. the people i do regret giving the buckle boot to are people like Dorothy, Adam and Elaine as well as a few other of the die hards. but they will still be a part of our other activities and can join us when they are of age. it takes time for things to develop. Futureshockk didnt have 150 people start showing up over night. i dont think goth people under 21 in Fresno are ready for a night club. they are a new breed, different from when we were their age. they are the same stupid kids that trotted by our booth at the ren faire that were totally un interested in what we were doing. oh fucking well.

we arent there for people who are un interested. we are here for people that know what they want and are ready to indulge! our other events are smokin' and that is what its all about!
