Between waking and sleeping

There is a space between waking and sleeping
When reality is blurred to a state
That slows the mind
Until all around
Seems
Quite
Unreal.

Voices drift in from somewhere,
Sensations dulled but alive,
As half dreams
Gently nudge
Into
My
Mind.

Which is dream and which real?
No way to tell it seems.
I don�t even try.
For this is the time
When all
Is
Real.

Sleep
Comes
Creeping in.
Feeding on those moments
Gleaned in that sweet state
Until that crack of waking crawls in
To open up that other reality until the next time.
