Better a Friend than a Foe

Old sighs
Never broken by the bow that was amidst
the scarlett rainbow which softened the features
of that man on a misty day.
And perchance, when the windy day has
fallen down a slippery street
brought by the rain, dew drops standing,
Not once have we had a conversation
with such sweet deeply felt and analyzed sorrow
such as two friends bound by the same love
have had.

Have we had such a tight friendship that
we have forgotten what the meaning of such love curtails?
Or was he only seemly in our eyes so much so
that love blinded the secret character of such a lover?
Not without a criticism do I admit
that my love was purely a challenge of sorts
and yours another blunder by
thinking that he would have been your salvation.

And even tough you tend to now disagree
with my own conviction, let me say this:
That rather do I keep a friend
who cares about my very nature
than to ponder on which level was I important
to someone who could not chose his own desires
but to win your favors.
