Subject: Week Three Challenge

Well, here goes. This will be the hardest challenge for me to date. I got over "hating water" years ago, but it's still hard for me to buckle down and "just do it". I try to incorporate flavored seltzer water into my daily intake to give me that "soda feeling" without the soda. It's always so cold in my office, and the last thing I want to think about is drinking anything but hot tea and cocoa. Well, let the week begin!

*taking a sip from water at desk*
Happy Week Three Everybody!!

I had more water than I usually do yesterday, but did not hit the 64oz. mark. I had 36.oz. I'm working on drinking more today.

The water thing isn't coming along that well. Yesterday I only had 32oz. I'm "forcing" myself to drink it, and I don't like that feeling. I know it's good for me and helps with the weight loss, but I'm not thirsty. It's not as if I'm drinking sodas all day, I'm not drinking anything. This is an area that I definitely have to improve upon.

[> [> D'Ann you and me both! I don’t have any problem with decaf tea though. Anyway, I have been splashing my water with a little bit of lime or orange juice to have some taste. Also I have been putting it in the room temperature; usually it is easier to drink it if it is not that cold. -- gs, 14:49:30 01/15/03 Wed

Thanx for the great tips! I like flavored seltzer water because it gives me that "Sprite" feeling, but I haven't been to the store to get a supply of it. Yesterday was much better. Not up to 64oz. yet, but I did have 48oz.! Yay me! My goal is to reach 56oz. Hopefully by the end of the week I will be at 64oz. and i will be able to carry it over into next week's challenge!

D'Ann, what I do is I take a can of Diet Sierra Mist or you could use Diet 7up then mix that with 1/4 cup of Lemon Juice (thew kind you buy in a bottle) and the rest water in a 1/2 gallon jug. It gives your water a little flavor. I love it this way that is what gets me to drink my water. I never was a water drinker in my life untill I did this.

Thanx Theresa! I'll definitely have to try that one out! Yesterday I got up to seven glasses! I was jumping up to go to the bathroom every twenty minutes, but when my body gets used to it that won't happen as much. I found a plastic lemon juice lemon that I had in the fridge at work so I've been adding that to my water in the interim. Seems to be working!

I'm glad I could help. I know it seems like I slowed down a little on running to the bathroom sometimes but not much. now I can make it 2 hours once in a while but not often LOL

I have been sick, so the rest of this week kinda went to hell. I got up to 8 glasses one day, and have maybe had 8 glasses total SINCE. Very poor on my part. I think i'm like a week behind now, but I am giving myself a 5 for this week and starting on week four.
