Or should I say "saw some of it." She said it was horribly violent and she couldn't really watch it. She's squeemish anyway, so this was not the movie for her. Coupled with Roger Ebert's claim that it's the most violent movie he has EVER seen, I think you have a proper synopsis. Ebert liked the film and gave it four stars, saying that the violence drove the point home of the sacrifices Jesus made for us. However, he said that if anyone other than Jesus were being tortured, the film would have surely garnered an NC-17 rating.
