Subject: A vastly underrated actor...

...Sylvester the Cat.

For years, you had the likes of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and Porky Pig, stealing the limelight, but not one of them had to carry the burden of working with Tweety. Or having to shoulder a gimmick which was a death-knell to dramatic aspirations.

And if it wasn't Tweety, it was that stupid kangaroo. Here Sylvester would have to take one humiliating beating after another. It's little wonder that the kitten who played his son never continued acting as an adult - how's watching Sylvester degraded time and time again for the ultimate dissuasion?

Meanwhile, Bugs, Daffy, Porky, and Elmer, got to work with one another - the choice talent with the choice storylines.

And Sylvester? Never...well, rarely. He did appear in the ensemble cast in The Scarlet Pumpernickel, and was superb, showing his talents. And there was that episode where ke kept losing one life after another, thanks to some incompetent bank robbers.

Now I haven't seen Looney Tunes movie, don't even know if it's something I'll see at cinema. But while I like the majority of Tunes characters, I hope for the sake of the show they're not going to pigeonhole Sylvester yet again!
