Subject: The recent incident in Elioend

It was the Day of Freya's Blessing, the Day of Love in the year of the Star 201. Everyone was celebrating (BTW, I'll copy and send the calandar to everyone so you can keep up with the times). It was nighttime when (any of your characters involved) Victoria Anderson delivered a message to the castle in Quetzalcoatl, as well as several messages to powerful wizards around Quetzalcoatl, as well as the McFerrin fleat, that the gates of hell had been opened in Elioend over the city of Liberain. There was some sort of force wall surrounding the city that impeded entery -- but that the psi guild and the palidins of Elioend were attempting to break through. EVERYONE who could make it was urged to help out -- as the gates of hell opening on the prime would effect everyone if not closed.
The battle lasted for 24 hours. Most wizards made their way to the Tower Magus Arcanus in the center of the city. It was a defensable tower with a magical item that amplified all spells aimed into it. It became known (among a very few of you) that Tina Von Liberman, artificer, was giving birth to her first child within the tower. Victoria Anderson stood atop the tower and using her extended magical knowledged, focused a beam of enchanted acids against the Duke of Hell. This distracted the Duke of Hell, even as it was attempting to battle the Avitar of Arkul, King of the Gods. The Avitar of Quetzalcoatl also summoned by the Clarian of battle, transformed the streets of the city to the purest silver to antagonize all the creatures of hell that had come through the gate. The final strike drove the Duke of Hell back through the gate from wence he came. But the gate remained open.
The epic battle transpiring between the forces of hell and the winged servants of the heavens (aka, planatars, solars, etc) -- as well as the heros of the prime -- continued to ravage the city. Finally, the archmage Somonian grey, 25th step of attainment, located and brought to light the artifact that had opened the gate. Whereupon he called the Lady Anderson to focus her arcane might toward the offending device. At the destruction of the gate, the forces of hell lost their means of reinforcement and scattered into the surrounding nations. The field won, the forces of the heavens returned to their native realms.

~1000 exp to any of your characters that you can justify being at the battle.

(The City of Liberain was rebuilt over the next two weeks by Victoria Anderson and Tina Von Liberman focusing their energies through the enchanted tower. The streets are made of silver and the entire city has running water and a sanitary sewage system -- the first in Elioend. In addition, because of the heroic assistance from McFerrin and his clan -- Elioend has opened the doors to trade with the Minotaur, and has offered some minor apology to the race for their continued closed mindedness over the past few decades...)
