As Base Opns Officer at Westover Fld in 1944 we had an
emergency landing of an XF4U with a P&W corn cob engine(R-4360)installed with counter rotating 4 bladed propellors. He landed gear up and the bird was hauled away. I have several photos. Does anyone know "what happened" to this
experiment or have any information on performance?
Thanks for an E-mail.
