So, if Colin framed the stone comment with his "usual riduculous silly humor" wouldn't that have been going for the "quick laugh". Something that many people are quick to blame the other performers for doing but always absolve Colin of.

Yes, Ryan and Colin do have a beautiful working relationship. I'm certainly not debating that point. It was really brought home to me during Greatest Hits in Las Vegas. Watching Ryan and Colin doing it together was almost magical in a way. Colin and Greg were ok and Greg and Ryan actually seemed to be going against each other - almost as if both wanted to have control so they kept "tugging" against each other.

I guess what I'm saying is just because Colin's line is the last one it's always remembered as the funny one - no matter what anyone else has said preceeding him. In a way I think this is unfair to the other three involved in Irish Drinking Song because it almost makes their sole purpose being to set up Colin for the last line.

There's no doubting that Colin's line is funny as hell, both for bringing the story around full circle and for the visual (which I'll pass on, thank you) it creates. The point I'm trying to make is that no matter what is said or done in IDS, Colin is always the only one given any kind of credit for something funny.

Frankly with regard to the most recent IDS, it's not Colin's Meow's which I find funny. Although theat did generate a chuckle it's Drew's line "I don't know what to say" that really got me going and well as Ryan's line - if you can call it that. Frankly, the meow to me seems more of a desperation type thing - "I don't know what to say here and it got laughs the last time so I'm going to try it again." Personally, I think everyone found it so funny because we've almost been trained in a Pavlov's Dog type scenario to think it's funny as hell - Colin has the last line = funny line, must laugh.
