Well, Ryan's stone idea was a flub, it looks like that was something he just latched on.

Isn't this what some improvisers do? Bring back previous ideas? You and Jean even mentioned that in your live show reports. IDS is a singing game that's telling a story line by line. In this case, about a guy who got mugged, the mugger will later turn out to be his friend. As a story, it would make sense for Colin to bring up the stone part again. Is this being uncreative? I don't think so. It's rounding out the story by reference to the beginning.

What people were laughing uproariously about at the end wasn't really the fact that he brought back the "stone" idea but the utter ridiculousness of the way he brought it back (as someone willing to push it through someone's anus because he was being a good friend).

>It just seems he gets all of the credit but when you come >right down to it, had Ryan not originally said his line >about passing a stone Colin wouldn't have come up with the >ending line that he did. It's just because Ryan's line >comes so early on in the song that it gets forgotten.

Ryan contributed idea A, Colin expanded on idea A and got the laughs. So what? There has been plenty of times where it's been the reverse. They have a beautiful improv relationship that totally feeds on each other's ideas.

I think Colin being at the end by default makes his lines more memorable, and I agree this is why the lineup should be mixed up more. But it doesn't take away the utter funniness of his "put the stone back at my end" line. It's funny not necessarily because Ryan contributed the stone idea but because of the way Colin frames that stone idea in his usual ridiculous silly humor.
