Subject: Jag rebuild

Hi Bob.
You might want to post this question and investigate here at one of their shp forums. There is a lot of info available here.

snowmobilefanatics.com

I have a similar problem with my 91 Indy 500, which I decided to repair because mine will be to the extent of a total rebuild, and I will basically have a new motor on a sled that's paid for and I like. I fried a piston but the expensive part was spinning a couple crankshaft bearings, which means I must have the crankshaft rebuilt$$$. After I sent this out I found some used cranks on ebay. For less than the cost of a rebuild.
If the extent of your damage is only a piston I believe it's worth fixing cause of low miles etc. and clean sled and it's not really that difficult to do provided the cylinder damage is minimal. Priced the new ones? But I'm not a mechanic. Any case, check out that website, you'll love it.
Dan
