Suddenly Zidane looked up.
"Uh...what's with the light?"he asked.The group looked up.
Hovered in the air,above their heads was a light that was neither blue nor white,and yet both,in the shape of a sphere.It was lowering slow and lazily.Zidane stared right at it.Suddenly,the light got too bright to look at,Zidane covered his face,and for half a moment,only he and Aurie were standing there...
Aurie slammed into the earth,the wind knocked out of him momentarily.He lay on the ground,in the dark,staring at a glassy flat surface.
"Ooohhhhh..."Aurie moaned.Then stopped abrubly.Heis hand flew to his throat and he felt it,as if though it was ripped open or something.
Aurie rubbed his throat gently.What was wrong with his voice?It was so much deeper.Aurie then got a glance of his hand and almost screamed.
He held his hand out in front of him as if though it were something terrible he didn't want to get near his face.He stared at his long fingers.His eyes moved down and he stared at his arm,in which muscle's bulged out of it.
He struggled to his feet.What had happened to him.He noticed then that the glassy stuff was water,a lake.
He raced to the shoreline and stared at his reflection.
He ran his fingeres through his thick,dark,short hair and stared at an older looking face,that was starting to just look more like a young man's.He looked down at his body with all it's muscular bulk and yet powerful grace.
He also noticed the lake,which was as flat as glass,without even a slight ripple.It looked like a huge mirror.
He stared back down at his reflection and wondered if it was even water.He stared at his dark eyes,which hadn't got Auron's shadow yet.He stared at them so long they started to turn blue.
Water exploded in Aurie's face and he let out a yelp and stumbled backwards from the lake.A figure struggled out of the water,right where Aurie had been looking at his reflection.
"Z-Zidane?"Aurie stuttered.Zidane pulled himself on shore,soaked and shivering,and panting.Zidane gasped for a while before answering,"In the flesh."
Then,Zidane stared at Aurie with blue eyes that matched the mirror lake.He cocked a brow.
"Aurie!?What happened to you!?"Zidane yelped.
Aurie bit his lip until he could taste salty blood in his mouth,trying hard not to laugh.
"Man,you're like,eight years older!"Zidane said,his voice was so loud it echoed through the trees.
"I know."
Zidane stood up and looked around,now acting as if he saw every person age eight years in five seconds,and it was just a big fad or something.
"Wonder where the other's are,"Zidane said to himself.Aurie shrugged,liking the feel of being more powerful.
They listened.The forest around them was dead quiet,and they were pretty sure they weren't in the same world,because a few moments ago it had been day and now it was night.
