Date Posted: 22:41:34 08/21/05 Sun In reply to: 's message, "One Less "Rust Bucket"?" on 14:36:54 08/15/05 Mon Citybus H654 GPH did catch fire on Sinfin routes. I didn't notice the Schoolbus on the Sinfin's. I did however notice the Chellaston dart on the Sunnyhill route, and I know know why they use the MPD's - the driver didn't seem quite used to the larger vehicle on the route! Yet again i've had another experience with the certain Chellaston Dart (which overheated). Its since been repaired, i've noticed its had a new steering wheel fitted however it "rattles" alot when it stops, plenty of passengers seemed displeased by it, especially when stuck in traffic around the Mitre Island! Could anyone tell me about a bus Arriva were using on the Chellaston's well over a year ago? I'm not sure if it was a trial bus or being borrowed along with some others (the Darts were having new lights fitted if I recall). I'm quite curious into the Excel thats supposedly coming from Swadlincote. >Well there might be, coz apparently Citybus 4323 (H654 >GPH) caught fire whilst on the Sinfin routes on >Saturday!! > >Does this explain why Yellow Schoolbus E151*** was on >the 38 on Saturday? > >>Well i've not had much experience with the DAFs though >>the Darts are in a pretty bad state, most of the seats >>are full of holes melted into them, theres cracks and >>quite a bit of wear a tear for five year old busses. >> >>The older busses with the metal tube seating seem in a >>better condition. >> >>Yesterday I noticed one of the Mickleover busses had >>been in a fairly nasty smash, it was being towed away >>with a broken windshield and damaged bumper. >> >>Trent may be higher prices however i've noticed that >>driver-passenger relations are better, the quality of >>vehicles are better and using trent is far more >>pleasent affair then using Arriva. >> >>>Hi >>>N+D have two ex Arriva Citybuses (B138/9 GAU). >>>Neither have been repainted, and arent likely to be >>>either.
