The competition would have forced them into providing a better service! I can remember then early days of Camms -- didnt they have some old ropey looking Alexander bodied Atlanteans from Sheffield? From what I remember they didnt even bother repainting them! Always used to see them around the Cavendish and Sunnyhill, and they used to accept DCT "Multifare' passes just to get you on. Didnt realise the Derby Fleetlines were actually kept in Notts, funny how the Ailsas and Citybuses never appeared in orange with "Camms" fleetnames, too new at the time I guess! Overall a much more exciting bus scene in Derby -- Fleetlines, Citybuses, Ailsas, old Trent Nationals and ECW bodied deckers were still about. Fantastic!
