Subject: Re: In my estimation cities the size of San Francisco should have enough competitors from a city of over 600,000. No need to make that city an open pageant. Now I can see Hollywood being an open pageant. Not many people live in Hollywood.

It seems that they were all required to show some proof of residency when they signed up, and all were convinced that they were vying for a closed title. They were not informed that the titles would be open until the last day, which I think is very strange and unfair to all the girls. Program directors need to be transparent, and when I think of Miss San Francisco, I want to think of someone who is at least familiar with the city. [> [> [> [> Subject: I agree, some people actually want to use the title to make a difference in the city than live in - rather than get beat out by a traveling pageant queen with years of experience competing and getting to know the judges. In my opinion, a pageant featuring a former MCOT is not worth competing in unless there are additional titles (which is probably why they reintroduced Miss Golden Gate when Crystal competed and Miss County of SF when Jordan did).
