Subject: He grimaced apologetically and swung his feet to the floor so he could stand, a sheepish expression crossing his features. "Sorry.." He reached out for the baby and placed a noisy kiss to the crying child's cheek - and little Ethan stopped his wailing before too long, because his daddy was always entertaining enough that he didn't cry too often. "I thought it was my dad... Or work..." He explained weakly, but didn't really bother, because she didn't care much for explanations and there wasn't much sense in trying. "I've got him.. Go ahead and get changed or something to drink or whatever..." He promised her and ducked in to press a quick kiss to her cheek before carting the sniffling Ethan off to the couch to school him on the rules of football.

  • She pursed her lips a touch, but her temper quickly calmed at his sweet response. She didn't mean to get irritable, but it seemed all she ever did was change diapers and feed the baby and buy groceries. She watched him witht he baby a moment as she tidied away her layers, watching how easily he calmed him down. She moved past the back of the couch on her way tot he bathroom, letting her fingers run affectionately through his hair before heading into the bathroom where she ran herself a nice hot bath to relax in, letting her stresses ease away in the hot water. She emerged from their bedroom in a pair of baby blue lounge pants and a fleese hoodie about half an hour later, her damp curls twisted over her shoulder as she leant over the back of the couch, winding her arms around his neck and pressing her lips to his temple, letting out a soft breath before murmering a soft "Hey" (NT) -- Caitlin, 15:42:30 01/15/06 Sun
