Subject: She smiled a touch to herself and shook her head to herself. She had never in her wildest dreams imagined him taking to the 'dad' role... he had also been so anti-commitment, and having a baby together was probably the most commited thing they could have done... marriages could be easily dissolved and broken, but you never stopped being parents. She fixed up the food, letting the chicken cook in some spices which she set up the table with place mats and plates and all that they would need to put in the fajita's. She emeraged twenty or so minutes later with the chicken and the tortillas, setting it all up on the table. She headed over to them, pressing a kiss to Nicks forehead before moving to pick Ethan up off his chest, cradling the sleepy baby and heading over to lay him on his play mat on his back, with all the various mobile things hanging in his reach above him. It amazed her sometimes that tehy could actually do this- and do it well.

  • He smiled when she came back in, and sat up when she took away the sleeping baby so that he could eat - his stomach grumbling as if on cue. Sure, he had always been anti-commitment, but he was a few years older now, and going away to school - leaving her here - had really made him realize that he wanted her in his life, even if he had to sacrifice his way of living. Then, when he had come home to find her pregnant, he had known there was no way he could just walk away. He watched her for a moment with an absent smile and then dug into his food, speaking around his mouthful - sometimes his manners just flew out the window. "So my parents are on my case to marry you now..." (NT) -- Nick, 16:36:32 01/15/06 Sun
