[my first reply disappeared for some reason]

Hey Rikki,

Please do yourself a favour and read what I wrote.

Firstly I said "most americans don't get sarcasm" - we blow my socks, if New Yorkers do, that means that some do, which is what I said.

Las Vegas, oh boy what a place! Here's why Las Vegas sums America up - Insular, hey don't go abroad we'll bring the world (or what we think you want of the world) to you here. It's fake, sanitised and Americanised but who cares?
Oh and btw, the Americans in Las Vegas have a lot in common with most of America:
SAME TV channels
Same language (english and spanish)
Same Currency
Same president
Same tax system - ok federal one?
Same flag
Same army/navy/air force
Same constitution
Same education system

Diverse population is that genentically or nurtured? see above as to why most americans turn out the same

I've travelled in America The states I have yet to visit Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Montana and both dakotas. Guess I've meet a few? Or didn't you get that?

The Pleadge - better check the June 26, 2002 9th US Circuit Court ruling (Michael Newdow v. U.S. Congress) this breaches the First Ammendment or at least the "under god" bit does! BTW it was written in 1892 and ammended at the behest of Knights of Columbus, to add the words, 'under God,' to the Pledge. "The Pledge is now both a patriotic oath and a public prayer."

As to news outside of America NOT affecting Americans let's see:
Chernobl
Oil Price
Iraq
Muslim Extremists (Ever heard of the world trade centre in new york?)
Cuba
Columbian coffee (or columbian coca if coffee price is low)
North Korea
China - trade or don't you like having job?
China - military - invade tawain
India - outsourced jobs
Israel - American support & Muslims

hey old boy we Europeans have a sense of history - today my enemy, tomorow my ally, next week a traitor! We have been play each other off against one another for 1000+ years you've been trying for 150 (since post civil war), so you've a lot to learn. You're the big dumb kid in the class you've got the muscle but not the brain, we're the old sages.

Remmember it's easy to learn from your mistakes, but better to learn from someone else's, that is ours!!!!!
