As a former student on the dyslexia teacher course and mother of dyslexic daughter (college freshmen), I heartily recommend you "Google" David Boies.
I am sorry about the negative fight you have had to endure through college. I am experiencing this with my daughter already; in one semester she has gone from happy uni student to feeling like giving up. I think you should be proud of your accomplishments, you are a role model to us all. It is sad however, that there is so little understanding of this issue still. It is amazing to me that as one rises up the education ladder, the "educators" do not seem to be more aware of LD's.
