I am sophomore in college and I was alway told that I had a learning disabilty in elementry school and throughout high school but they failed to let me know what type of learning diability I had and i was never given any tools just a teacher sat over me watching what i did in class that made me feel embarrassed. In high school i worked hard I was know as one of the hardest working people in high school and was told i was smart and had a bright future. My high school wasnt challeging to me at all and always felt I could have done a little better. entering into college I knew that I wanted to become Lawyer and go into politics. in my second semester I had a tough time retaing the information that i was studying. I wasnt doing well as i tought i was going to do in college I was spending late hours studying and still failing test. In my sophmore year one of my professors would always see me in the library studying for and after I had worked so hard studying for the midterm I had gotten the lowest score in the class. He talked to me and had me sit down with a counselor.me and my professor sat down with the counsloer because my professor knew that I might have some type of learing disability. she then aked me did I want to take a few test and I found out that I have dyslexia. I still dont know how to accept it and im not sure if i ever will. I am a political science and a philosophy major hoping to get into law school but now that I found out I have dyslexia in my sophmore year of college it seems like some fairy tale dream. I searched on the enternet to see if there were any lawyers that were dyslexic and I cant find and I feel very discouraged at this point I dont want to to change my goals at all. I know what goals i have set for myself and I dont want to alter any of them for some diasability.
