Geminya and Kaylar Streamrudder were the best of friends. When one did something, so did the other. They were inseparable.

So when Geminya suggested that they check out the Abbey's attics, Kaylar wasn't going to say no.

They sneaked up the stairs from the dormitory to the first level of attics. There was an abandoned sitting room and a room full of books there. The two spent a few hours exploring these rooms then moved on to the next level.

On that level, the two friends started to race across a great low ceilinged room. The room reminded them of the Great Hall, but slightly more dibbun sized. On the other end of the room, there was a door. The duo found a staircase that was pretty sturdy and started to climb it. At the top was a door, and behind that door was a room perfect for creating a new club in.

For a while these two friends had been feeling out of place among the creatures their own age. Geminya loved to read and Kaylar was an aspiring cook. The maids were fonder of elder activities, but wouldn't tell the elders anything about the other dibbuns plans. Even so the other dibbuns didn't trust the two friends. So they were willing to start a new club.

Bringing up furniture from the rest of the attic, the two maids made it a comfortable haven. One wall held shelves with all sorts of books for Geminya and another corner held and old brazier that Kaylar could use for cooking. There were a few beds in one corner and the corner by the door was occupied by squishy armchairs to sit in.

The two maids named this group The Abbey Attics or TAA for short. They would sneak up to the top attics for comfort when things got rough and soon invited other misfit dibbuns to join them. All was well until a well meaning elder discovered the group one snowy evening. Then all the furniture was returned to its former places and the dibbuns were forbidden to return to the attic.

The other dibbuns saw the forming of this group as a rebellion and did not except the two maids back into the main body. After hearing about what had occured, Kaylars parents decided it would be wise to take Kaylar back to their holt in Mossflower Woods. Geminya stood on the walltops waving goodbye to her one true friend, Kaylar Streamrudder.
