Geminya was distrought.

She had no best friend and all the other dibbns were wary of her. It was hard to live as the abbey outcast. She spent most of her days locked in the gatehouse, and most of her nights lying awake in the orchards during the summer to watch the stars or in the storerooms off the kitchens in the winters. She was terribly lonely for Kaylar.

One day Geminya was sitting out in the orchard having a few apples and some cold mint tea when a few dibbuns walked by, they weren't dibbuns anymore she realized, they were young adults now. They stopped at the next tree over and wispered for Geminya's ears to pick up "That's the traitor who betrayed us by forming a counter group. I'm surprised she hadn't left by now. She has no friends and can only hide away for a little time before she has to go out of the spot. Nobody trusts her anymore. At least not us."

Geminya sat transfixed leaning aginst the tree. It was true, she knew it was but why did they say it?

The mousemaid threw away her fruit and tea and picking up her habit she fled to the gatehouse where she locked the door and cried as if her heart had desinigrated(sp?). she did not come out for a while after that.
